MoFPI Secy stresses on greater coop between India and global cos

The Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), has emphasised greater cooperation between India and global companies in his interactions with food industry players at recently held Anuga 2025 in Germany.
Avinash Joshi, Secretary, MoFPI, met several global players, at the fest and as per the ministry held discussions on multiple subject matters including food processing, cold chain, & agritech, from various countries including the Netherlands and Germany.
Joshi also invited the global food companies to invest in India in sectors like food processing, cold chain, food technology and farmer linkages and particularly, appreciated the role of Invest India in facilitating and enabling sustainable collaborations for the future.
Secretary, MoFPI, also held CEO roundtables and discussed India’s fast-growing food processing sector, positioning India as a hub for value-added agri-food products.
According to the MoFPI, the talks also explored opportunities for investments, technology transfer & farmer linkages to serve both domestic and global markets.
Further, in his discussions with industry leaders, the Secretary, MoFPI, focused on farmer-centric technologies & innovation, the role of advanced technologies and the potential for deeper collaboration in driving innovation & growth for aligning with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
MoFPI highlighted that the visit by the Secretary would be instrumental in shaping future editions of World Food India, further strengthening India’s role in the global agri-food trade ecosystem.
