MoFPI invites proposals for maintenance of SAMPADA portal

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has invited proposals for maintenance, improvement and further development of the SAMPADA portal on a real-time basis.  The agency will be responsible overall for implementation of the PMKSY through one integrated IT solution under the supervision of NIC.

MoFPI has issued a notice, in this regard, and stated that to monitor implementation at scheme level, the ministry has developed an IT based solution i.e., SAMPADA portal, which captures workflow of processes involved in implementation of the schemes like submission of proposals by entrepreneurs, its evaluation by project management agencies & technical committee, approval of the projects by the Inter Ministerial Approval Committee, migration of the approved projects to ongoing project module, request for grant, release of sanctioned grant and so on.

“The portal has been designed and developed by the National Information Centre (NIC) and a comprehensive dashboard has been built to monitor the schemes through various key performance indicators,” reads the notice.

The bidder, MoFPI says, should have experienced core technical team, including designers conversant with the upgradation, maintenance and updation of the portal and should be familiar with postgres database, cloud computing, and latest website design technology.

And the contract shall be applicable for a period of two years from its acceptance while the last date for closing of the bid is Oct 25, 2022, 15.00 hours.

The Central sector scheme of PM Kissan SAMPADA Yojna was introduced by the Union Government through MoFPI for development of the food processing and allied sectors in the country aiming at creation of modern infrastructure with efficient supply chain management from farm to retail.

According to the MoFPI, the scheme focuses on mega parks, integrated cold chain, expansion of processing and preservation, agro processing clusters, backward & forward linkages, food safety and quality assurance, human resources and Operation Greens.
