Metro Cash and Carry, India has launched the concept of Gift Bazaar as a part of the festive season. The offer can be availed by business customers across 24 wholesale of its outlets in 14 cities across the country.

According to the retail chain, it has captured a strong consumer confidence when it comes to fulfilling their specialised requirements during the festive season. It is looking forward to registering growth in gifting items this festive season, through an approximate footfall of 20,000 customers per day across its outlets in India.

This covers a plethora of gifting options in the food and non-food segments. This includes a healthy mix of regional and national brands across its superior supply chain management.

It has partnered with local companies to source home-grown products and gifting solutions.

In addition to this plethora of gifting options, Metro also provides the convenience of purchasing gift cards for professional gifting in organisations of any size.

The company also has a catalogue of their festive offerings made online in their website.

The customers can either view, shortlist and order the products online or visit the outlet to pick these products up themselves. The festive sale at Metro Cash and Carry can be availed at all stores.

Positive consumer sentiment has made a comeback this festive season with a 15 per cent jump in sale of premium products across markets and categories.

The Indian market has finally left concerns of demonetisation and Goods and Services Tax (GST) implementation behind and started showing signs of good demands.

The sheen is not only limited to metros. Tier-II and III cities, along with a robust rural economy, underpinned with good monsoon, is geared up to add fervour to the festive season.

“Metro Cash and Carry is all geared up to ride this wave of growth with an extensive range of products, superlative quality and efficient value-added services,” said a statement by the company.

“Our festive offerings are everything that a business customer can look for - an extensive range of products, across various price points at uncompromising quality,” said Arvind Mediratta, chief executive officer, Metro Cash and Carry India.

“Metro’s nuanced understanding of the Indian market is what sets us apart in the category,” he added.

“We have not just restricted ourselves to bring the best quality and assortment of products, but have also equipped each of our outlets with commodity experts, in-store assistance, a gifting helpdesk, loading facilities and doorstep delivery,” Mediratta said.

“The product assortment has a healthy representation from local brands. We work with local artisans, farmers and merchants to source the best local produce,” he added.

“While this delights our customers, it plays a much more crucial role of generating local employment and enriching the economy,” Mediratta said.

“We have set ambitious goals for ourselves in the Indian marker; this festive offer is another step towards realisation of our growth targets,” he added.
