McCormick & Company has announced a striking redesign of its McCormick Gourmet Collection, marking the first major packaging update for its premium herbs and spices in more than three decades.
The refresh covers the full Gourmet line—72 distinctive flavors, including 54 certified organic varieties. The revamped jars will begin appearing on U.S. store shelves immediately, with a nationwide rollout expected to continue through January 2026.
Aimed squarely at home cooks who value both quality and aesthetics, the new design introduces gold screw-cap lids to lock in freshness, burgundy-and-gold labels that fuse heritage and sophistication, and transparent glass bottles that let users monitor spice levels. The wide jar opening is optimized to accommodate measuring spoons for easier usage.
Giovanna DiLegge, McCormick’s U.S. vice president of marketing, explained that the redesign is more than skin-deep: it reflects McCormick’s commitment to “carefully curated herbs and spices, sourced from the regions where they thrive.” The updated look was validated through consumer testing, which revealed a growing demand for authenticity, transparency, and sustainably sourced ingredients—especially among Millennial and Gen Z shoppers, who increasingly view cooking as a form of personal expression.
Flavor innovation is a cornerstone of this Gourmet Collection. The portfolio includes more exotic offerings like Mediterranean Saffron, Saigon Cinnamon Sticks, Madras Curry Powder, Ancho Chile Pepper, and Turkish Bay Leaves ingredients that resonate with modern, globally inspired palettes.
In addition to the aesthetic upgrade, McCormick highlights that this redesign underscores its core principles of purity, freshness, and responsible sourcing, echoing the brand’s broader heritage in flavor leadership.
The new Gourmet Collection jars will be available for pre-order via McCormick’s website, with individual bottles priced around US$49.99 for the curated premium offerings.
As consumers increasingly demand restaurant-grade flavour and transparency, McCormick’s bold refresh of its Gourmet line reflects the company’s dedication to both craft and innovation—while celebrating a century-plus legacy in the spice aisle.
