MAVIM launches e-business portal for women farmers & entrepreneurs

Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM) launched its e-business portal with a goal to establish social and economic growth for women through sustainable development. The portal is a platform for women farmers and entrepreneurs to enhance trade possibilities and reach out to a larger market. This was launched on Women’s Day.
MAVIM was declared as a Nodal agency by Government of Maharashtra on January 20, 2003, to implement various women empowerment programmes through Self Help Groups (SHGs). MAVIM is under aegis of the Women and Child Welfare Department and is the State’s ‘Women Development Corporation’. MAVIM is committed to create business opportunities and prospects for women, and investing in human capital and the capacity building of women, thus making them economically and socially empowered and enabling them to access sustainable livelihoods.
