MARS Petcare, the world’s leading pet food company, has launched premium cat food in India under the IAMS brand. The IAMS premium range offers four dry variants in India, specially designed to ensure a healthy, natural defense for both – adult cats (1+ years) and kittens (2 to 12 months).

The products will be available across e-commerce like Swiggy & Dunzo & specialty pet stores like Petsy, Heads Up for Tails, and Shakehand.

The IAMS cat food is developed in association with veterinarians and is tailor-made to fulfill the nutritional requirements for both – kittens and adult cats, including new mothers. The Mother & Kitten variant is enriched with DHA and colostrum, found in the mother’s milk and other nutrients required during pregnancy, lactation and growth phases of a cat. The premium IAMS Adult variant contains a signature FOS prebiotic and wholesome fiber blend.

The Healthy Adult variant comes in three exciting flavours – Chicken, Tuna & Salmon and Chicken & Salmon. All these flavours scientifically help maintain a healthy skin and coat as the variant is formulated with Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids. The IAMS variants help in developing a healthy natural defense with the ingredients scientifically proven to help increase the level of Vitamin E in your cat.

Salil Murthy, managing director, Mars Petcare - India, said, “Awareness and acceptance for manufactured pet food as complete nutrition for pets is growing rapidly in India. Pet parents have become more informed about their pets’ nutritional needs. IAMS was launched in 2019 to meet the needs of Indian pet parents through the right nutritional solutions. Over the years, it has been a successful premium brand for MARS Petcare and has now strengthened the brand portfolio through the cat food variants in India.”
