fiogf49gjkf0d Lords Hotels and Resorts, the fastest-growing mid-market chain of hotels, launched its first resort in Kerala. Lords Resorts-Thrissur, located at Cheruthuruthy, was inaugurated by cooperation and tourism minister A C Moitheen. It is the chain’s 26th property in India.
“The launch of this resort marks the entry of Lords Hotels and Resorts in God’s Own Country. We are delighted to be in this state, which is known for its tourism and hospitality and blessed with nature’s abundance,” said P R Bansal, chairman and managing director, Lords Hotels and Resorts.
“Lords Resorts-Thrissur is, in many ways, an epitome of Kerala’s rich and varied landscape. Within its premises, it houses a natural waterfall, a pond, butterfly farms and nature trails, all set against a backdrop of a large expanse of rubber plantations,” he added.
“The lodgings are interspersed across the terrain and have been seamlessly merged with their environment. We are positive that a stay at our resort will make for one of the most memorable experiences for our guests,” Bansal said.
The property, formerly known as the Cheruthuruthy Eco Gardens and owned by Pepco Group of Companies, is now branded Lords Resorts-Thrissur, and will be managed and run by Lords Hotels and Resorts.
“Lords Hotels and Resorts is one of India’s finest hospitality groups. Within a relatively short period of time it has created a niche for itself in the sector,” said V G Prem, managing director, Pepco Group of Companies.
“The backing of a reputed brand for our resort and its expertise in management, operations and marketing should be able to drive the kind of growth the resort derives,” he added.
“We are confident that Lords Hotels and Resorts will be able to bring in the kind of value add to the existing infrastructure which will help position Lords Resorts-Thrissur among the top eco resorts in India,” Prem said.
This resort offers themed accommodations, including tree-houses, honeymoon cottages by the pond, villas (single and duplex) and bungalows, in addition to the royal and executive suites and rooms.
“The resort is a confluence of luxury, nature and adventure. Complementing the eco lodgings are two gigantic swimming pools and a traditional spa. Besides this, it also offers leisure boating or for the more adventurous, it also provides all-terrain vehicles (ATV) that can be driven on its premises,” said Rishi Puri, vice-president, Lords Hotels and Resorts.
“The resort also has a large banquet with a capacity of 1,400 persons, inclusive of all facilities, to meet the requirements of any corporate or social function. The resort is a getaway destination for vacationers who are looking at spending time in a home away from home setting in the tranquility and peace of nature,” he added.
