Lalamove; an on-demand logistics company, announced its Deliver Care campaign, in order to collaborate with SMEs, NGOs and other stakeholders to meet the needs and requirement of the local Indian population.
On the launch of the campaign, John Tang, co-founder and director of Lalamove stated, “Lalamove is committed to supporting the communities that we work in. The global Covid-19 pandemic is one of the biggest challenges that we’ve ever had to face, but we know that we are stronger when we work together. That’s why we have launched our ‘Deliver Care’ campaign to help facilitate the transportation and delivery of essential medical, food and sanitary items from donors, NGOs and businesses to communities that need them.”
The company made a significant contribution by arranging the vehicle from Bangalore to Mangalore for dispatching the raw material for making masks.
They are receiving thousands of delivery orders on a daily basis from cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad.The deliveries are conducted on the company’s 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler vehicles.
In Bangalore itself, they serve around 72 clients that operate in the food and beverage industry and deliver their goods to the native people.
On a daily basis they deliver around 300 packages from these clients. The key brands which they are serving currently are CakeZone, Bajo foods, Licious and Cake Shop.
The company is also actively working with Milkbasket to meet the requirements of milk supplies within the cities that they are present and have received movement passes from the government for the fulfilment of essentials within the cities.
In order to continue with their efforts to ensure that the essential goods are delivered during the lockdown safely, the company has instructed all their driver partners to use masks and sanitisers during the delivery and off delivery time.
To further incentivise the partners, they have been transferring a fixed amount to their wallets so that they can purchase the masks and sanitisers for them and their family members.
