The two-day International Conference on Gut-Brain-Health: Connections jointly organised by Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), and CSIR-CFTRI, aims to explore how gut microbiota influences our mind, health and vice-versa.
This conference held on October 28 and 29, 2021, was part of the silver jubilee celebrations of Karnataka State Open University, Mysuru which has completed 25 years of service in the field of higher education through open and distance mode.
The conference was inaugurated at the CFTRI Assembly Hall, CFTRI where Professor S. Vidyashankar, vice-chancellor, KSOU; Professor Sridevi Annapurna Singh, director-CFTRI; Dr Prakash Halami, chief scientist and professor-AcSIR Microbiology and Fermentation Technology Department, CSIR-CFTRI; Dr Niranjan Raj S, director-CIQA-KSOU; Dr Panduranga Narasimha Rao, Science Coordinator, KSOU were present.
Dr Arun Sharma, founder and director (IMANAH), International Institute of Mahayoga and Natural Hygiene, USA and professor Srinivas Arka, founder-centre for Conscious Awareness (CCA), United Kingdom Arka Dhama Ayurved delivered the key note addresses.
