Indigo Deli recently inaugurated its 11th outlet at Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla, with a special winter menu that was exclusively available at this restaurant.

Speaking on the launch, Anurag Katriar, executive director and chief executive officer, deGustibus Hospitality Pvt Ltd, said, “Indigo Deli is our fastest-growing brand, and we are excited to open our 11th outpost in Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla, which is the most prominent and successful mall in the area.”

“This is our third venture with the Phoenix Group, and we are sure it will set a new benchmark for dining in the neighbourhood,” he added.

The 70-cover outlet, which will be open between noon and 11pm, will have the open kitchen and retail counter, both of which are Deli’s signature features.

Carrying forward the philosophy of the brand, the menu was a nostalgic tour with creative twists on classic comfort food. It stressed on light cooking that preserved the identity of carefully-selected local ingredients.

Think global, eat local remained a paradigm for the menu that boasted a selection of sandwiches, salads, pastas, light meals, etc., desserts, cocktails and other beverages. The specials menu changes daily.

The menu, comprising contemporary Western comfort food and deli fare, will also include some winter dishes.

It has been curated by chef Kedar Bobde, who recently joined deGustibus Hospitality as corporate executive chef, and will comprise Roasted Butternut Soup with chilli parmesan panna cotta, asparagus and amaretto and Crab Bisque with curried parmesan foam.

Patrons can also sample Baked Camembert with fig and jalapeño jam, Grandmother’s Special Recipe Meat Loaf or Mascarpone Mousse with cinnamon-scented-wine-poached strawberries.

The menu will also include Indigo Deli Classics like the Rueben Sandwich, where the Pastrami is made in-house and the meat cured over 21 days; BBQ Pork Ribs with the right hints of smokiness, spiciness and sweetness, and the homemade ice cream created using age-old recipes.

Apart from these, it comprises Deli Roast Chicken, Eggs Benedict, and the signature Citrus Salad or the Corn Crusted Potato and Jalapeno Burger. The wafer-thin pizzas, a Deli specialty, have a crispy crust and an assortment of toppings.

The bar offers a host of classic Deli cocktails, such as the Pear and Basil Martini, Guava and Sriracha Margarita Pineapple and Rosemary and Passion Fruit Lemonades with White Rum.
