IB Group launched a nationwide awareness drive titled “Har Ghar Har Din Chicken Protein” on the occasion of World Protein Day, covering more than 2,500 tehsils across 20 states to address rising protein deficiency in India.

The campaign, spanning from Jammu & Kashmir to Tamil Nadu, focused on educating rural and semi-urban communities about the importance of adequate daily protein intake. According to the company, nearly 73% of women and children in India — roughly seven out of ten — face protein deficiency, making it a pressing public health concern.

As part of the initiative, IB Group teams visited villages and tehsils, engaging with sarpanchs, local leaders and community elders to conduct awareness sessions in village chaupal areas and public gathering spaces. The programme aimed to simplify nutritional guidance and promote affordable protein sources that can be easily incorporated into daily meals.

During interactive sessions, families were informed about recommended daily protein intake: 25–50 grams for children to support physical growth and brain development; 50–60 grams for women to maintain immunity and overall health; and 55–70 grams for men to sustain energy levels. Live chicken recipe demonstrations were also conducted to highlight that 100 grams of chicken provides nearly 27 grams of high-quality protein.

Bahadur Ali, managing director of IB Group, said the campaign seeks to make protein awareness accessible to every household, particularly in rural India where nutritional gaps remain significant. He emphasised that adequate protein intake is essential for health, immunity and strength.

The outreach covered states including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Punjab and Assam, among others, reaching over 24 lakh people. The company described the initiative as one of the largest grassroots protein awareness drives aimed at building a protein-secure India.
