Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) will soon launch a range of ready-to-cook breakfast mixes under the brand name Ayush Foods. Inspired by the traditional wisdom of the country, the product range will comprise Aval Millet Pongal, Masala Millet Upma and Classic Millet Khichdi.

These products has been made with all-natural ingredients, such as millets, pulses, cow’s ghee, vegetables and spices, and is free from preservatives. The range is also a source of protein and fibre, which makes the offerings a wholesome breakfast. It has currently been launched in Chennai and is also available via e-commerce.

“Lever Ayush Foods marks our entry in to the health and natural food segment. We firmly believe that with our brand vision of traditional ingredients made contemporary, we will be able to democratise the benefits of Ayurveda-inspired recipes to the Indian consumer and do our part in making India healthy,” said Geetu Verma, executive director, foods, HUL.

In people’s daily hurried lives, where time is a luxury, they sometimes end up skipping their meals. This can compromise their health and well-being, but it need not be so. There is an intuitive power in Ayurveda which can help restore the natural balance in the body through people’s daily diets.

These new dishes take under eight minutes to cook, and ensure that one starts the day with a tasty and nutritious breakfast.
