In a foodservice sector where speed and convenience often drive consumer choices, Jaipur-based artisan bakery How Sweet has built its identity around craftsmanship, consistency and traditional baking. As the brand completes 13 years, its journey reflects how a focus on quality, authenticity and customer experience can help create a strong consumer base in an increasingly competitive market.

It began operations in 2013 as a small kitchen and has since grown into a recognised artisan bakery brand in Jaipur. From the outset, the company has followed a made-from-scratch philosophy, with products prepared without commercial premixes or artificial flavouring agents. The bakery also maintains an entirely eggless portfolio, while placing emphasis on fresh and natural ingredients.

Over the years, it has expanded beyond cakes and desserts to develop a broader food and hospitality portfolio. Its offerings now include baked savouries, confectioneries, personalised celebration cakes, gourmet gifting, café experiences and outdoor catering for weddings and luxury events.

Despite this expansion, the brand has retained its small-batch approach. The focus remains on ingredient integrity, flavour and customer experience, allowing it to scale its operations without moving away from the principles on which it was founded.

Atika Agarwal, founder, How Sweet, said, “Modern-day consumers are now increasingly conscious about ingredient transparency, artisanal products and memorable food experiences rather than mass-produced offerings. How Sweet's 13-year journey shows learning the consumer pulse actively and growing to remain competitive in the segment by focusing on authenticity.”
