Hariramani appointed hotel manager at The Westin Mumbai Garden City

The Westin Mumbai Garden City is pleased to announce the appointment of Hema Hariramani, whose hospitality career has spanned over 18 years so far, as its new hotel manager.
In her new role, she is responsible for the seamless operational management of the hotel. Her expertise helps support the heads of departments, achieve and exceed their revenue and guest satisfaction targets.
Hariramani began her career with Marriott in 2000 as sales manager, Marriott Executive Apartments. She was a part of the pre-opening team and then moved on to being a pre-opening member of the Renaissance Mumbai Hotel and Convention Centre.
Eventually promoted as the director of sales, she successfully handled multiple segments in her stint and was instrumental in driving the medical segment to have Renaissance in their preferred list of hotels.
Hariramani has also led the sales and marketing team at Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai International Airport. Thereafter from January 2011 until April 2014, she was director, sales and marketing, JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu.
A self-motivated, passionate hotelier and a dynamic individual striving for excellence in all spheres, she has been a recipient of a host of awards, which bear testimony to her hard work and superlative hotel skills.
The Marriott Chairman’s Circle award in 2004 – an exclusive award, recognising excellence within the Marriott Group, given to a core group of performers was bestowed on Hariramani.
She has also received the Marriott Pinnacle Award in 2005, which is in recognition of consecutive achievement of the Chairman’s Circle award for two years - the first in the Asia Pacific Region from the Marriott Group to achieve the same.
Accomplishing a great ramp up for The Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai International Airport, and managing to successfully promote the business brand, led Hariramani to be awarded the Marriott Asia Pacific Award Property Leader of the Year – APAC, thus acknowledging her contribution to position the hotel as a market leader.
She also received the prestigious Hotelier India Award for the Best Marketing and PR Person of the Year during her stint at JW Marriott Mumbai.
Hariramani is a courageous leader, a perfectionist and a fitness enthusiast. She believes in not just being a strong leader but creating them.
She enjoys spending her spare time with her nine-year-old twins and follows Buddhism as a philosophy in life.
