Gupshup, the leader in conversational messaging, has unveiled, they have taken hundreds of restaurant outlets online this year, across India with conversational commerce. With thousands more in the pipeline, this makes food and beverages, the company’s newest vertical.

Leveraging the GIP messaging platform, the company brings the full power of conversational commerce to digitise the customer experience to order, pay and receive home delivery directly. This digital experience can be activated via a simple link sent in a message or for touchless table orders, via a QR-code.

The company also provides restaurants with messaging-based marketing solutions to promote offers, specials and deals to their regular customers and has made restaurant management simpler with a mobile-based management tool. For restaurants, this means getting more direct business from customers,  implementing touchless dining for safety and owning their customer relationships through their own marketing efforts.

Launched recently, GIP enables rich, interactive, conversational experiences and transactions on any device, without requiring an app download. It is the ideal commerce enablement tool for businesses moving from offline to online - for offering advanced digital customer experiences for offline transactions.

Leading chains like Hyatt Gurgaon, Holiday Inn, Radisson, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Jamie's Pizzeria, London Bubble Co and Tea Junction are online with the company along with mid-sized chains and local stand-alone restaurants.

The company has also taken this solution international and counts AQLUT, Qatar as a key customer. It has partnered with leaders across delivery, digital payments and POS systems to offer a seamless experience to both restaurant owners and customers. On the digital payment front, it has partnered with Razorpay while for POS payments, the company has partnered with PetPooja, POSist and GoFrugal. For home deliveries, it has partnered with Dunzo, Wefast and Pidge. More partners will be added in the weeks to come.

Beerud Sheth, co-founder and CEO, Gupshup, said, “Restaurants and other businesses are adapting to the pandemic by replacing physical offline interactions with digital online experiences. Gupshup’s platform enables businesses to transform virtually every customer interaction into a highly engaging conversational experience. It digitises every aspect of the restaurant business including ordering, payments, delivery, marketing, customer service and more. We’re committed to helping restaurants and other offline businesses leverage the power of conversational commerce to survive and thrive, now and in the future.”

Vaibhav Jain, area general manager, Holiday Inn Express Hotels, India, said, “We are delighted to partner with Gupshup to bring our food and beverage offerings to our customers, wherever they are and be more than ready.
