French bagel brand Bagelstein has strengthened its India footprint with the launch of its fourth outlet at Koramangala, Bengaluru, marking another milestone in its aggressive metro expansion strategy. Founded in 2011, Bagelstein entered the Indian market through Franchise India and has set an ambitious target of opening 100 outlets across the country by 2029.

The new Koramangala store was inaugurated in the presence of Ramanalinga Reddy,Minister of Transport, Government of Karnataka, underscoring the brand’s growing prominence in India’s evolving foodservice landscape. The launch follows the successful rollout of Bagelstein’s third outlet in Bengaluru, reinforcing the city’s status as a key growth hub for international café and QSR brands.

Bengaluru’s vibrant food culture, driven by young professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and a global workforce, makes it an ideal market for premium yet convenient dining formats. Koramangala, known for its café culture, startup ecosystem, nightlife, and high footfall, offers a strategic location aligned with Bagelstein’s fast-casual positioning.

Bagelstein caters to India’s growing appetite for global flavours with its range of oven-fresh handcrafted bagels, premium fillings, stacked sandwiches, flavourful spreads, artisanal coffees, refreshing beverages, and indulgent desserts. The brand blends European authenticity with creative offerings, delivering a casual yet premium café experience.

Commenting on the expansion, Gaurav Marya, Founder and Chairman, Franchise India, said that franchising has emerged as the most scalable route for global food brands entering India, given the country’s strong consumption growth and openness to international cuisines. He noted that Bagelstein’s steady expansion reflects the strength of structured franchising in maintaining brand consistency while enabling rapid market penetration.

Ravish Malhotra, Area Developer – Bagelstein Bengaluru, highlighted the city’s enthusiasm for innovative food formats, while Devrag, Unit Franchise Owner, emphasised the brand’s strong product quality and differentiated positioning as key drivers of customer loyalty.
With its fourth store now operational, Bagelstein continues to deepen its presence in India, positioning Bengaluru as a cornerstone market in its nationwide expansion journey.
