The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is set to present its innovative RVDF (Residues of Veterinary Drugs in Foods) Tools in an upcoming free-to-attend webinar on Tuesday aimed at strengthening global food safety systems.
The RVDF Tools have been developed to assist national authorities in monitoring, assessing, and managing residues of veterinary drugs in foods. By using the tool, regulators and policymakers can identify the level of drug residues present in food products and detect gaps in monitoring frameworks. This scientific approach is expected to help countries improve compliance with food safety standards, protect consumer health, and enhance trade opportunities.
The session will feature presentations from FAO Food Safety Officer Masami Takeuchi, alongside international experts including Daniela Battaglia from the World Health Organization (WHO). Country representatives will also share practical experiences of applying the RVDF Tools in real-life settings, providing valuable insights into its role in shaping regulatory decisions and ensuring food safety at both national and global levels.
Participation in the webinar is free of charge; however, prior registration is mandatory. Interested professionals and stakeholders from the food and agriculture sector can register through the official link: https://lnkd.in/gKWKNMwp.
Food safety continues to remain a critical priority, especially in light of increasing consumer awareness and tightening global trade requirements. Tools such as RVDF are expected to play a key role in equipping countries with practical solutions to address these challenges.
