Epi Ingredients, the dry ingredients division of dairy cooperative Laita, embraced Passion du Lait, a new quality management and sustainability programme alongside its parent company.

Mathieu Lucot, the company’s marketing manager, said, “This initiative, aiming at bringing together all members of the Laita network around shared values of progress, transparency and product excellence, should contribute to customer reassurance regarding the origin and transformation of the ingredients offered, which is particularly important as food safety issues of the past decade still weigh on the market.”

Passion du Lait is a useful tool, setting the framework for streamlined operations, efficient supply chain and sustainable milk supply. With four high-performance industrial facilities in western France, Epi Ingredients can ensure that no farm is more than 100km from the plant that processes its milk.

Thanks to this tight control over the entire value chain, from field to fork, Epi Ingredients can provide its customers with the highest-quality, most natural and safest ingredients possible. The customers, in turn, can offer a diversified, responsible and healthy nutrition that end consumers can fully trust.

The Passion du Lait initiative will be showcased at Fi Asia, which will be held in Jakarta between September 21 and 23, 2016.

Other offerings that would be promoted at the show include Epilac ingredients, a range of fermented powders (yoghurt powder, quark powder and fermented milk powder), and Epi Ingredient premium milk and butter powders.

Beyond differentiating such features as the presence of live cultures in some of them, Epilac all-natural fermented powders offer a strong yet pleasant dairy flavour, making them a true asset in developing innovative food and beverages.

They are designed to enhance both taste and texture in numerous applications such as ice cream, frozen yoghurt and fillings and icings for bakery products. Committed to highlighting the superior quality of its products and showcasing the features of selected ingredients, samples of ice cream and brioche (sweet bread) featuring Epi Ingredients’ powders will be available for visitors to taste.
