fiogf49gjkf0d The Serai Resorts, Coffee Day Hotels and Resorts (CDHR), a part of India’s largest integrated coffee conglomerate – Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd, has teamed up with Barefoot Resorts in the Andaman Islands to help amplify their reach and footprint.
The Serai and Barefoot Resorts found a match in their style of operations and offerings. The properties are synonymous offerings in line with the natural resources of the destinations they are present in. The Barefoot at Havelock has won a number of accolades for its unique concept and experience. Barefoot Scuba has grown to become South Asia's largest PADI dive centre.
This association represents The Serai’s intent to increase its presence in the most preferable getaway destinations.
“CDHR currently has a strong presence in Karnataka. Given the immense potential and increase in popularity of Andamans among Indian tourists, our strategy is to grow both organically and inorganically, with a larger weightage towards the latter. We are committed to enhancing the experience of the tourists and are exploring several association options to increase our footprint in different regions. We are optimistic that this addition will append fruitfully to Coffee Day Hotels and Resorts business,” said M Venkatesh, director, Coffee Day Hotels and Resorts.
According to Samit Sawhny, MD, Barefoot Resorts, said, “Andaman Islands is one of the most preferred getaway destinations. Barefoot, known for its pioneering legacy aims to ensure that its early market leadership is sustained through continuous quality improvement. Through the association with CDHR, we aim to open new resorts and upgrade the existing ones to remain the market leaders.”
To promote tourism in the Andamans and to encourage tourists to visit the beautiful islands to experience an adrenaline rush with adventure sports like scuba diving and para-gliding, Barefoot holidays collaborates with Go Air to provide exclusive offers on Holidays in Andaman Islands at just Rs 28,000 per person. This covers three nights stay at Havelock, two nights stay at Port Blair, accommodation in 3 star hotels on Continental plan, return airfare by Go Air, all return airport transfers and all sightseeing in Port Blair and Havelock.
CDHR was incorporated in the year 2008 and launched their first property soon after, under the brand name ‘The Serai’ in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. The Barefoot Group was founded in 2002 and the resort is now rated as No.1 in Andaman Islands on Tripadvisor, listed amongst Guardian Newspapers 40 best eco resorts of the world and voted in the top 3 resorts in India in the Readers' Choice survey of Lonely Planet Magazine.
