Bosch Rexroth India Pvt Ltd has collaborated with local farmers in India to develop an electrohydraulic hitch control for the Indian tractor market. This cost-effective technology will not only improve productivity, but also increase the efficiency of farming activities and increase safety while driving on road. In line with the local-for-local strategy, both the control and its software were developed in India.

The export of tractors from India is increasing significantly, and the company sees growth potential in India’s agriculture market, as the country is the world’s largest tractor market by numbers.

“Bosch Rexroth is strategically located to handle all target segments for the agriculture segment,” stated Hans Bangert, the company’s managing director. He added that its local success in India was the outcome of the local expertise it has been nurturing and developing over the past few years, and stated that they intended to intensify their focus on this aspect.

The company will offer the cost-effective auxiliary valve solutions, which includes the possibility of being integrated with the electro-hydraulic hitch control. Such an inclusion will add value and avoid additional piping efforts for the tractor manufacturers, thereby reducing leakage points.
