Barbeque Nation, India’s leading casual dining restaurant chain, has opened its first outlet in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, which is known as The City of Gates. Located at Prozone Mall, the 3,500sq m outlet is the first in the city, the 106th in India and the 111th internationally.

Kids from JijaMata Anathalay and Balashram orphanages were the guests of honour at the launch of the restaurant, which has a seating capacity of 100.

The eat-all-you-can buffet at Barbeque Nation showcases an array of vegetarian and non-vegetarian spread.

Non-vegetarians can opt for Dohra Sheekh Kabab, Chilli Garlic Prawns, Chimichuri Fish Tikka and Tangdi Siya Mirch, and vegetarians can pick from Hari Gobhi Aur Matter Ke Tikki, Home-style Potato Wedges with Chilli Salsa, Cajun Spice Baby Potato and Phaldhari Chat.

To satiate the sweet tooth, the dessert menu comprises Almond Fudge Brownie, Assorted Pastry, Angoori Gulab Jamun, Moong Dal Halwa, and Kesari Phirnee, along with a wide range of kulfis at the restaurant’s most famous Kulfi Nation counter, where guests can mix various flavours and create different combinations.

The restaurant, which pioneered do-it-yourself (DIY) cuisine with the concept of a live on-the-table grill, has a pre-fixed menu comprising both vegetarian and non-vegetarian barbeques for a fixed price. It is drawn from Mediterranean, American, Oriental, Asian and Indian cuisines.

It is open for lunch between noon and 3pm and for dinner between 7pm and 11pm. A meal for two would cost about Rs 1,300. Patrons can grill starters in a range of marinades and sauces and have them right off the skewers at their tables.

Ashish Rai, regional manager, Barbeque Nation Hospitality Ltd, said, “We are extremely delighted to set foot in Aurangabad. It is an important tourist destination and a place of historic significance.”

“We have successfully served other cities in the state, including Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Nashik, and we now intend to extend our courtesies to the people of this city. Our restaurant makes for an ideal destination for people to experience the joy of grilling on their own,” he added.
