Akina Worli, in collaboration with Don Julio Tequila, hosted an exclusive invite-only dinner to celebrate international Tequila Day, in association with the Consulate General of Mexico. The evening brought together members of the diplomatic community, industry leaders, media, and distinguished guests for a celebration of Mexico’s rich culinary heritage, premium tequila, and vibrant culture.

The evening welcomed Adolfo García Estrada, Consul General of Mexico, along with members of the Mexican Consulate and invited guests from the diplomatic community, including representatives from the Consulates of Argentina, Spain, and Colombia, alongside close friends of the Consulate from India’s business and cultural circles.

Guests experienced a specially curated pairing menu celebrating the flavours of Mexico through its contemporary culinary lens. Created by Chef Ganesh Pandit, the menu featured dishes including Guacamole with Golden Fried Corn, Banana Plantain & Nori Crackers, Truffle Edamame Hummus with Raw Mango Salsa, Burnt Avocado & Tender Coconut Ceviche, Scallops Ceviche with Miso Yuzu Dressing, and King Prawns with Steamed Buns.

Complementing the dining experience was a bespoke cocktail programme by Head Mixologist Sonam Rai, showcasing four signature serves featuring Don Julio Tequila, the Don Julio Paloma, Spicy Margarita, Don Julio Picante, and the Don Julio 1942 Signature Serve each thoughtfully crafted to highlight the versatility and craftsmanship of one of Mexico’s most iconic tequila brands.

Hitesh Keswani, MD & CEO at Aspect Hospitality, said, “It was a privilege to welcome the Consulate General of Mexico and members of the diplomatic community to Akina Worli for an evening dedicated to celebrating Mexican culture. We were honoured to host representatives from the Consulates of Argentina, Spain, and Colombia, along with close friends of the Mexican Consulate from India. Through our partnership with Don Julio, we wanted to create an experience that went beyond exceptional food and cocktails and one that fostered meaningful cultural exchange and reflected the warmth and hospitality that both Mexico and Akina are known for.”
