Aarey Tribe Food Fest underway at Renaissance Mumbai’s Lake View Café

The Aarey Tribe Food Festival, which is underway at Lake View Café, at Renaissance Mumbai, will conclude on February 3, 2019. It will be a dinner-only event from 7pm to 11pm until February 2, while brunch will be served between 12:30pm and 4pm on February 3. It will be priced at Rs 2,495 plus taxes.
It will celebrate the signature dishes of the tribal communities living in Aarey, located in Goregaon, Mumbai. These will be prepared by the Tribal Tadka Women of Aarey of WWH Tribal Lunch fame, and include sweet steamed modaks, thecha, zavla (dried shrimp), sukka mutton, bhujing kombda and bhareli vangi (stuffed brinjals).
Sahil Arora, the hotel’s executive chef, said, “At Renaissance Mumbai, we embrace the destination from a local point of view, acting as a gateway to an authentic experience of the destination.”
“Renaissance delivers this through local expertise tailored to guests who want to make intriguing discoveries effortlessly, which is exactly our motive with this promotion. Our main aim is to make our guests encounter interesting and locally inspired dishes and elements with fascinating stories,” he added.
