Mars International India introduces Snickers Green Dot for vegetarians

fiogf49gjkf0d Mars International India, one of the world’s leading chocolate manufacturers, launched Snickers Green Dot, the vegetarian version of the chocolate brand, which has been specially manufactured keeping in mind the growing number of vegetarians in the country.
To cater to the increasing demand for eggless chocolate, and the company's objective to offer the best possible relation between quality and price, Mars has set up a completely new assembly line to manufacture the new vegetarian Snickers specially.
Snickers Green Dot will be available in two pack sizes – 25g and 54g – in retail outlets, departmental stores and kirana shops across India. The non-vegetarian SKUs will also continue to be available in the market.
At the launch of the vegetarian Snickers, M V Natarajan, managing director, chocolate business, Mars International India, said, “Our endeavour is to bring quality chocolates that will satisfy the Indian palate.”
“Snickers is an 80-year-old international brand. All the chocolates in the Mars bouquet – be it Mars, Galaxy, Bounty, Twix or Snickers – have received a tremendous response in India,” he added.
“The launch is in line with our business objective of growing the Snickers range in India. With Snickers' Green Dot, we wish to cater to our growing vegetarian consumers. We believe that Snickers, with its unique taste, peanut content, distinct size and shape, would be a perfect choice for people to satisfy hunger,” Natarajan added.
He further elaborated, “With the recent campaign, we wish to take the basic insight on hunger to the next level with the launch of Snickers green dot. The launch is being backed by a 360-degree marketing initiative to create integrated communications that will help us to drive awareness and create brand salience.”
“In line with our commitment of providing quality chocolate to our consumers, the vegetarian version of Snickers will have no change in taste, and its nutritional value will be intact,” Natarajan added.
