IDS Next, a leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and total technology solutions to the hospitality and leisure industries, has now installed restaurant management software FortuneNEXT 6i R&B at Delhi’s Auma Café.

FortuneNEXT 6i R&B helps streamline operations to efficiently track inventory, provide faster service, optimise manpower resources, generate sales and revenue.

The data could also be mined to understand what guests are ordering with time indications and when the sales are the highest, and develop strategies to enhance revenue.
The indirect benefit is that the restaurant is able to brand itself and build loyalty.

“Over 500 restaurants of small, medium and large formats have adopted FortuneNEXT 6i R&B,” stated Binu Mathews, chief executive officer, IDS Next Business Solutions Pvt Ltd.

The consists of four modules - point-of-sale, accounts receivable, materials management and food and beverage costing. All these modules are extremely beneficial to Auma Café, a multi-cuisine restaurant that serves Italian, Mediterranean and Thai.

“The point-of-sale module would help the café analyse the likes and dislikes of their customers and come up with a diverse set of sales strategy to increase sales,” added Mathews.

“FortuneNEXT 6i R&B consolidates the entire restaurant operations seamlessly and enables us to extract intelligence about the restaurant and continuously adjust our sales strategy,” stated Rahul Vasudeva, general manager - operations, Auma Café.

“The point-of-sale module helps us locate high-selling, moderate-selling and slow-selling items, and put in place a plan to popularise certain foods. Further, it has increased the operational efficiency and staff productivity,” he said.

“The module also helped us to improve revenues by helping us to determine which session - lunch, snacks or dinner - earns us the most revenue,” Vasudeva added.

“Being user-friendly, FortuneNEXT 6i R&B can be used by the restaurant staff with ease and minimal training,” he stated.

“Additionally, the highly-intuitive software can also key in data quickly, so the staff are free from mundane tasks and provide personalised services to customers,” added Vasudeva.

A clear-cut picture of the day-to-day operations includes such information as the number of guests visiting, their expenditure, food and beverages ordered, credit and cash transactions, the percentage of discounts given and service tax to be paid to the government.

All these reports can be accessed by the management and can be analysed for a better understanding of profitability.

FortuneNEXT 6i R&B has helped Auma Cafe understand its guests better. This led the café to launch schemes to ensure a higher level of guest retention.

Additionally, as the software is Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)-certified, Auma Café does not have to worry about the safety of the payment card details of its guests.

IDS Next’s clientele include Balwant Singh’s Eating House, Kwality Foods, Chilli’s Family Bar and Restaurant, Fisherman’s Wharf Group and Dalma Comforts and Entertainments Pvt Ltd.
