Parag Milk Products Pvt. Ltd, manufacturers of Gowardhan and Go brand products, has launched Gowardhan Paneer which, according to the company, is a rich source of proteins and vitamins.
The company claims that Gowardhan Paneer is India's first packaged fresh paneer and is made from 100% cow's milk.
At the launch, Rahul Akkara, VP, marketing and sales, Parag Milk Foods Pvt. Ltd, said, "Paneer is the largest dairy product sold in terms of volume after liquid milk. So we are looking at a larger share in the domestic market and also eying the export markets, which have a huge scope. In addition, for the packaged fresh paneer category there are practically no brands available across the country. Considering all these, we have introduced Gowardhan Paneer."
Leena Mogre, fitness expert and also the brand ambassador of Gowardhan Paneer, said," As a fitness expert and nutritionist, I know the true value of calcium in cow's milk. And paneer made out of cow's milk, is ideal, as it delivers 25% of calcium requirements. Gowardhan Paneer is high in calcium and protein and is perfect for kids and also helps prevent osteoporosis in women. It's low fat which is ideal for the health conscious. And it helps tackle insulin dependent diabetes. "
There are no added preservatives to the paneer, claims the company.
The product is packaged in a 200 gm pack with a shelf-life of 60 days. The company says that it is the only product which has used the ESL technology. It will be available in all retail stores across India and sold at an MRP Rs 45.
