Dhara launches refined rice bran oil with cholesterol-lowering benefits

Cooking oil brand Dhara has announced the launch of Dhara Life physically refined rice bran oil.
Speaking on the launch, Dinesh Agrawal, COO, Dhara SBU, said, “Keeping health- conscious people in mind, Dhara now offers Dhara Life, physically refined rice bran oil. It has naturally balanced fat composition (MUFA, PUFA and SFA) apart from the presence of Oryzanol. Oryzanol (presence of which can be ensured only through the process of physical refining) is known to have cholesterol-lowering properties. This variant is witnessing healthy growth owing to the rising health concerns and the growing awareness of the benefits of rice bran oil, therefore, it was inevitable for us to lead the introduction.”
The benefits of rice bran oil include: Naturally balanced fat composition (MUFA, PUFA and SFA) with added advantage of unique nutraceuticals like tocopherols and tocotrienols; Naturally present Oryzanol – natural antioxidant, which has cholesterol- lowering properties and can help prevent cardiovascular diseases; and Possesses good storage stability and reausibility. These properties make it an ideal choice for general frying applications, according to a press release issued by the company.
The product will be available in 1 litre poly pouch and 5 litre jerry can across leading retail outlets and MRFs in Delhi and Mumbai.
