Cadbury Éclairs, the chocolaty candy, has been rechristened Cadbury Choclairs to ensure that its name is consistent globally. With the exception of India, the brand from the house of Cadbury has globally been known as Choclairs.
The product renovation exercise has also resulted in reducing the stickiness quotient of the candy. Cadbury Choclairs will now be available in a new packaging; but will retain the purple and gold colour that Cadbury Éclairs is associated with.
Speaking on the relaunch of Cadbury Éclairs as Cadbury Choclairs, Amit Shah, associate vice-president, powdered beverages, gum and candy, Cadbury India Ltd, said, “Cadbury Choclairs is one of the most distinguished brands of candy in the world, and we are pleased to introduce this name in India.”
“Apart from enabling us to align with the global brand name, this name change will also help consumers distinguish our brand, the original Cadbury candy, from other branded and unbranded Éclairs available in the market. We are confident that our latest product renovation will make the consumer’s experience with the brand much more enjoyable,” he added.
