FSSAI extends online application date for food analyst exam to June 7

The FSSAI has issued a notice extending the submission of online applications for 7th Food Analyst Examination (FAE) and 4th Junior Analyst Examination (JAE) for the year 2021 until June 7, 2021.
The previous date for online submission of application was May 7.
The dates of examination, as announced previously by the FSSAI, were also postponed till further order, says the notice.
The FSSAI has extended the dates due to prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation across the country.
The order reads, “This is to inform that the last date for inviting online applications for 7th Food Analyst Examination, 2021 as per sub-rule (ii) of Rule 2.1.4 of Food Safety and Standards Rules, 2011 under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and 4th Junior Analyst Examination, 2021 has been extended upto 7th June 2021. The dates of examination are also postponed till further order due to prevailing Covid situation in the country.”
In April, the FSSAI invited applications from eligible candidates for the two examinations and scheduled dates on May 23 and July 17 &18 for theory and practical examinations, respectively.
The April notice of FSSAI, among other things, stated that a separate application form will be uploaded for the candidates who have passed 1st or 2nd or 3rd Junior Analyst Examination and have now acquired three years of experience in analysis of food and further fulfil the eligibility criteria.
