DuPont to host talk on factors impacting food safety at PACK EXPO 2013

fiogf49gjkf0d Among DuPont Packaging and Industrial Polymers' activities at PACK EXPO – slated to take place at the Las Vegas Convention Centre on September 23, 2013 – is a talk by the company's global marketing director Yasmin Siddiqi.
She would be challenging leaders in the industry to step up their efforts to end food waste at the Food Safety Summit Resource Centre. Titled 'Factors impacting food safety', the talk would commence at 12:30pm.
It will centre around the Global Food Security Index, developed by the Economist Intelligence Unit and commissioned by DuPont. The index measures the drivers of food security in 107 countries. Food waste, which impacts food availability, is one of its key indicators.
DuPont would also be conducting technical sessions and open collaboration in Room 234, North Hall, on September 23 and 24. The company's experts would also be available at the location to discuss a host of topics.
These include, 'Modifiers improve recycling: DuPont Fusabond resins well-suited to your needs'; 'Joining the unjoinable: Global expertise to develop new targeted formulations', and 'How do you line up all those polymers? New R&D-scale 9-layer blown film line'.
Other topics are, 'From body armour to snack packaging: DuPont Kevlar ballistics modelling extended to packaging film structures'; 'Easy-peel solutions: Repeatable performance you can count on', and 'Food security through collaboration: Leveraging packaging to improve food security'.
Ann Hriciga, global application development manager, DuPont Packaging and Industrial Polymers, will discuss global trends and science-based capabilities. The DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation would take place at North Hall and The Showcase of Packaging Innovations, South Hall.
