French Cheese Boursin makes its presence in India

One of the most successful brands of cheese in the world, Boursin will be officially imported by RRO, which has tied up with Unilever to exclusively market and distribute the brand in India.
Riyad Oomerbhoy, managing director, RRO, said, "RRO has carved a niche for itself in establishing imported food brands like Barilla Pasta and Bertolli Olive Oil in the Indian market. Boursin was created in 1957 by Francois Boursin, a cheese maker in Normandy, France. Fresh and Natural Boursin is non-pasteurised. The seasoning and moulding are completed at low temperatures during production. This ensures that the unique flavours of the ingredients in Boursin remain intact. Boursin cheese is enjoyed by discerning food lovers in 35 countries and five continents. Boursin is a 100% vegetarian cheese since it is made without animal rennet.
The product is available in four delicious varieties in India: Boursin Plain, Boursin Garlic and Fine herbs, Boursin Pepper and Boursin Shallot and Chives . Boursin Cheese is available at leading food outlets in the country at Rs 315 per 150 g pack (any variant).
