Tell us about freeze fried fruits, vegetables and herbs market in India.

Market for freeze dried products has always been global and the market players are responding to this by having global presence. End-users of these products include functional F&B industry, pet food industry as well as pharma industry. The products are segmented based on the source, application and region. The market for this product is very tough. Although the market size in India is growing, the growth rate is not very high.

What are the opportunities and challenges in the market?

Opportunities: The rise in the market share can be credited to the increase in consumption of instant products.

Challenges:
The quality control parameters as well as the regulatory controls are very tough.

Currently there are no expansion plans in the short-term, however, we will be looking at forward and backward integration in the long run.
