Winners of 2026 Sustainable Food Awards revealed

The winners of the 2026 Sustainable Food Awards were announced in Amsterdam. According to the judging panel, there was a very high calibre of international entries this year.
The winners per award category are: New Sustainable Product - Gold winner is Il Frutteto Societa Agricola di Bologna Fabio & C. S.N.C. (Italy) with its Upcycled Citrus Flour made from Sicilian citrus waste. Silver winner is StarWalker Organic Farms (USA) with Smokehouse Blend Meat Sticks, made from livestock reared according to regenerative organic farming practices. Sustainable Ingredient - Natur-Reich-Inform (Germany) is gold winner with Organic Kolanut, which provides a natural source of caffeine to food and beverage products. AnaBio Technologies (Ireland) is silver winner with EnCaptimus, which enhances ingredient stability and bioavailability through encapsulation technology. Sustainable Packaging - Notpla (UK) is gold winner with its compostable Seaweed-Based Packaging that replaces plastics in foodservice applications. Sykell (Germany) is silver winner with its Reusable Packaging Systems for take-away food and beverages. Sustainability Pioneer – Agriculture - Société Ferdawes Dattes /GDA Bio Essalem (Tunisia) is gold winner with its Climate-Resilient Desert Agriculture. It is growing organic dates using solar-powered irrigation in Saharan farms. The pioneering organic food company Ecotone (France) is silver winner for its Biodiversity-Friendly production methods. Sustainability Pioneer – Other - The gold winner is Prevented Ocean Plastic (UK) for Re-Directing Plastic Waste. The organisation is converting plastic waste into polymers that can used in new applications. The silver winner is Pahua (Mexico) with its Zero-Waste, Low-Carbon Food operations Sustainability Start-up - Kelpi (UK) gets fold for its Seaweed-Derived Coatings; they provide high barrier coating solution for paper-based packaging. Oh Mungood (Sweden) is silver winner with Mung Bean-Based food products
