Saturday, 05 January, 2008, 08 : 00 AM [IST]
Nandita Vijay, Bangalore
the country, RMZ Corp, India's leading real estate developers is now on the look out for appropriate partners for the hotel projects where it will construct and develop the project to the partners. No other details were disclosed.

Since RMZ is the face behind the two Bays in Bangalore, it has the expertise and the ability to develop hotels going by the efforts at the Bay conceived and designed as a place to relax and unwind.

The Bay consists of a food court, speciality restaurants, fine dining restaurants, bookstore, convenience store, coffee bar, ATM facility and a moneychanger. It is an all-purpose self-contained and all-occasion shopping and eating-out place.

The real estate developer is gearing up to commission two more Bays in the country at Kolkata (55,000 sq. ft) and Chennai (35,000 sq. ft). While the former will be commissioned by the end of 2008, the latter is expected to take off in mid-2008.

The food component offering at Bay is 60 percent with Fine Dining areas and fast food courts. "At RMZ, we have always been conscious of our tenant's needs and the communities we work in. We understand that the employees in our buildings are spending more time at their work place and needs a convenience area that services all their needs," Ms Sonali Lalvani, Head, Marketing, RMZ Corp told F&B News.

The food court is spread across an area of 25,000 sq. ft. Some of the eating centres are McDonald's, Pizza Corner, Gowrishankar for south Indian food, Pathankot for chicken dishes, Beijing Bites for Chinese, Baskin & Robbins and Subway. It allows people to sample a kaleidoscope of taste sensations and a perfect place to chill, explained Ms Lalvani.

It offers cuisine to suit every palate and wallet. For fine dining experience, there is Indi Joe from the BJN Group to tantalise the taste buds with its Global Cuisine, and for exotic Chinese cuisine, a Hakka & Kicks Bar concept by Mainland China offers an unique Chinese for a Zen experience. Incidentally, the Cafe Coffee Day at RMZ Infinity happens to be the biggest outlet in Bangalore. Additionally, it is the first time that McDonald's have opened an outlet in a tech park.

RMZ Corp has always been at the forefront when it comes to identifying its client's requirement and acting proactively to bridge the gap between the same. In today's scenario where employee productivity quotient is a big challenge for the corporates and a place such as The Bay has a huge role to play in giving the much needed break between the hectic work hours, added Ms Lalvani.
