Food Safety Works and Fogiene Sciences team up to propel high quality solutions

Food Safety Works and Fogiene Sciences have now teamed up to accelerate high quality solutions for the F&B sector.
Fogiene Sciences is a state-of-the-art NABL accredited testing laboratory providing a wide range of testing services for food, water, environment and health care products.
"In order to offer reliable and verifiable solutions to our customers, we have seen food testing as a critical part of ensuring safety. We see the need that it is important, the same is carried out using the right methods, to provide accurate results," said Ramesh Agarwal, CEO, Food Safety Works.
"This is where with Fogiene's expertise, we will now be able to take our analysis one step further without our customers having to worry about this. Through the partnership, Fogiene customers will also have access to our complete training catalogue and different food safety audits. This is the next step in our evolution to becoming a complete food safety solution company and we hope to build many more such fruitful partnerships through this year. In fact, this is the first formal partnership we are doing with any lab and our services with Fogiene commenced early this year," said Agarwal, while speaking to FnB News.
Food Safety Works brings in the expertise in regulatory and compliance while Fogiene's strength is in testing the products as per the regulatory. "So together we can now cover, what needs to be tested, how it needs to be tested, complete the testing without any gaps. The customer also does not need to talk to 2 different service providers. We started using their services from the beginning of this year," he said.
When asked how the company had shortlisted Fogiene, Agarwal said that in the past, it had worked with several labs and found on many occasions the knowhow to be inadequate. There were several instances indicating lack of competence in testing methodology and inconsistency in results. But with Fogiene, we found the right technical strengths with no short cuts in methodologies.
So long Food Safety Works has been associated with multiple labs for its test. “We also do some of the tests in-house which is mostly for R&D purposes and our own lab is not NABL accredited. With this partnership, we will be able to create better awareness amongst our customers on the importance and accuracy of testing. We will also collaborate on conducting joint studies to find the effectiveness of systems and processes in improving the hygiene and safety of the food,” stated Agarwal.
