Fi Asia all set to rock Bangkok

Ironically, this year's Fi Asia event is being held in the backdrop of a political turmoil in Thailand following the appearance of the country's Prime Minister in a cookery channel recently.

The Fi Asia event saw a huge success last year with visitors from 55 countries and 140 exhibitors from 120 different countries participating energetically to leave their impact after the event. This year the organisers have promised to supersede last year's success both in terms of participations, as well as the quality they intend to reach pedaling on previous experiences.

Fi Asia is part of the world leading Fi, Hi, Ni, CPhI, ICSE and Informex series of food and pharmaceutical ingredients trade shows organised by CMP Information. Fi events have been held successfully since 1986 and Fi Asia 2008 will be the 13th edition of this show.

The food ingredients industry has caught the attention of the manufacturers and entrepreneurs with the entry of health and wellness foods like the dietary supplements and the functional food industry. With the kind of life people are living nowadays, healthy food ingredients have become major concern for customers around the world. Particularly the countries all over the world are eyeing Asia Pacific region as the potential market for experimentation and business, thanks to the fast growing economy of these regions.

The theme of the Fi Asia conference would be Global Trends in Food Ingredients: Healthier Choices. The conference is scheduled from 25-26 September.

For modern manufacturer, health and safety are two main factors of production. However, research through both private and public ventures has enabled innovations and outstanding results in pushing the food science and technology sectors. The production of nutritionally balanced, healthier foods no longer equals a trade off in terms of taste.

This year's Food ingredients Asia conference will discuss current trends and developments within the food manufacturing industry. The natural ingredients pavilion

With more and more people interested in a natural lifestyle, the Ni Pavilion is proving to be a big draw each time it is held as part of a Fi event. Natural ingredients are those which extracted directly from plants or animal products as opposed to being produced synthetically or produced by minimum processing.
