RFMFI celebrates Diamond Jubilee with show on world milling technologies

fiogf49gjkf0d The Roller Flour Millers’ Federation of India (RFMFI), an organisation known for representing the flour milling industry both in India and abroad, is celebrating its Diamond Jubilee this year, having completed 75 years since its formation. RFMFI was established in 1940. To mark the occasion, an International Tech Show showcasing international milling technologies was arranged here recently.
The show, with “The Future of Flour Milling” as its theme, introduced latest technologies in milling, storage, grain handling and flour treatment - ensuring better quality and hygienic processing of wheat.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Puri, honorary secretary, RFMFI, threw light on the major issues faced by the flour milling industry. He was followed by Hitesh Chandak, president, RFMFI, who shared the journey of the federation so far and provided solutions for dealing with the issues bothering the flour milling industry.
The event included a felicitation ceremony of the past- presidents of the federation. The past-presidents shared their experiences in the industry and the ways in which they attained success. Lifetime Achievement Awards were given to Dr N K Gupta and S K Ram Prasad for their outstanding contribution to the flour milling industry.
The event was attended by over 200 flour millers from India and global machinery manufacturers, who made presentations on their respective companies. It was supported by Buhler India, Flourtech Engineers and Pingle Group (China) as Gold Partners.
