Kaapi, SCAI, UCAI, Coffee Board conclude 22nd National Barista Championship

Kaapi Solutions, in collaboration with the Speciality Coffee Association of India (SCAI) and the Coffee Board of India, has announced the successful conclusion of the 22nd National Barista Championship, Delhi prelims. This highly anticipated event, held recently, showcased the epitome of coffee craftsmanship and innovation, further solidifying its reputation as one of the most significant gatherings in the Indian coffee industry.
With an unwavering commitment to nurturing coffee culture and advancing the industry, the championship proved to be a resounding success. Hosted at Sriram Centre for Performing Arts, Mandi House, the event witnessed the participation of 40 exceptionally talented baristas from across India, all vying for the coveted title. These baristas, representing a diverse range of coffee shops, including industry stalwarts and home brewers, demonstrated their mastery in the art of coffee preparation, pushing the boundaries of taste and technique.
The competition was nothing short of fierce, as participants were evaluated by a panel of esteemed judges comprising technical experts, accredited Q Graders, and the distinguished head judge, R Srikanth Rao, vice president, United Coffee Association of India. Their discerning palates and expert evaluations ensured that the highest standards of quality and innovation were maintained throughout the championship. In the culmination of the championship, eight outstanding winners have emerged, earning the honour to represent their craft in the forthcoming finals to be held in Bangalore at World Coffee Conference. Their dedication and artistry stand as a testament to the thriving coffee landscape in India.
