CII – Green Products and Services Council confers GreenPro on Hansgrohe India

As part of the Competitive Development Services initiative, CII awards Hansgrohe India, the Indian subsidiary of the Hansgrohe Group, one of the leading bathroom and kitchen fittings manufacturers in the world, with a GreenPro Certification for kitchen and bathroom fittings.
The GreenPro Certification is a tool for ensuring Green Product market transformation in the country; Hansgrohe India's continuous efforts towards zero emissions and innovations to curb water wastage received applause. The certification programme encourages the product manufacturers to implement measures that would result in environmental, health and wellbeing benefits at all the stages of the life cycle of the products.
The standard for Green Products Certification for Plumbing Fixtures, Sanitaryware, Clothes Washer and Dishwashers was developed with the support of all industry stakeholders, including product manufacturers, standard developers, architects, green building developers, conformity agencies -belonging to the Indian Plumbing Association, Building Energy India, among many others.
In its remarkable efforts, Hansgrohe Group was one of the first in the sanitation industry to start looking at water and energy efficiency of its products. The research and development department passionately works on new technologies that reduce water consumption. The brand creates and evaluates the product holistically on a life cycle approach to ensure minimal environmental impact. Some of the recognised products are EcoSmart, Air Power and CoolStart. The company's continuous efforts allow water and energy to be saved in everyday use without sacrificing design or ease of use.
