Lact’Union launches Promess Ambient drinking yoghurt in two flavours

After being the first French producer to enter the segment of ambient dairy drinking dessert with Promess, the Lact’Union Group has expanded its offer with two new flavours, viz., strawberry and banana.

Made from fresh milk, this range combines the quality and expertise of the Lact’Union Group with the benefits of the Tetra Prisma 200ml Aseptic package, the ideal Tetra Pak package to guarantee a long shelf-life at room temperature, without added preservatives.

The plain dairy dessert bagged the 2018 SIAL Innovation Award.

New variants
Promess Ambient Drinking Yoghurt was presented at Anuga 2019, which took place in Cologne earlier this month. The range was on display at Lactinov’s stand.

Over the past six years, the Lact’Union Group has decided to focus its strategy on the export market to identify and address new growth drivers.

The Halal-certified yoghurt is the result of more than two years of research and development initiated by Lactinov to develop  ambient  products capable to meet the highest quality standards.

Based on its success, it is already marketed in 10 countries, such as Hong Kong, Mauritania, Seychelles, Togo and Guinea.

Currently, Lactinov is expanding its range of dairy drinking desserts with two new items flavoured with strawberry and banana, made with 100 per cent fresh French milk collected from the cooperative farms, which guarantee a perfect traceability. These new flavours from the Promess range are intended for the export market in Asia, Africa and the Middle-East.

Package and services designed for export
The Tetra Prisma Aseptic 200ml has a shelf-life of 10 months without the addition of preservatives.

The Lact'Union Group and Tetra Pak have worked together to design heat- treated products with high added value, perfectly adapted to the requirements of the export market.

This range is presented in a personalised box of 24 units packed in packs of three. Each box has a handle for greater convenience and ease of handling. Everything is designed to optimise the space on the pallets.

Promess Ambient Drinking Yoghurt is practical for on-the-go consumption and has been developed to withstand deliveries abroad and over long distances.

“The launch of these two new flavoured products is a part of the ongoing development of our offers, to bring value to our customers and consumers in our target markets,” said Alexandre Zeitlin, export director, Lactinov.

“In a heltered French context, we are trying to develop innovative offers and solutions for major exports, based on two key assets - the quality of our milk and our ability to offer innovative items with ambient storage and long shelf-life. Anuga will be the opportunity to present all our innovations under the Promess brand,” he added.

“This project is also the result of the solid partnership, developed between our teams and Tetra Pak’s because, in major exports, there are only team successes,” said Zeitlin.

Perfect for on-the-go consumption
The rise of mobile consumption, combined with the growing success of so-called healthy products, has made the strawberry and banana variants of Promess Ambient Drinking Yoghurt ideal products to meet the expectations of modern consumers, who are always on the lookout for new products.

Thanks to the Tetra Prisma Aseptic and its practical size, the product can be consumed anywhere, anytime of the day, providing a healthy and mobile option for consumers.

The packaging material is environmentally-friendly - more than 68 per cent of the packaging is made of FSC-certified paperboard, guaranteeing sustainable economic, social and environmental forest management.

It is also fully recyclable and enjoys a second life, being transformed into envelopes, boxes, paper, street furniture.
