IIFPT in Thanjavur with MoFPI to hold webinar in milk processing & value addition on Aug 12

Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (IIFPT), Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu along with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, is conducting a webinar titled ‘Milk Processing & Value Addition’, on August 12, from 10am to 4pm.
This is in sync with PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME Scheme).
Under MoFPI’s One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology took on the onus to organise the event on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which is an initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to commemorate the opportunity for all department and Ministries to host a set of activities for a resurgent, Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
The topics to be covered are PMFME Scheme Guidelines & Features, Opportunities & Technologies for Micro Milk, FSSAI & Registration for Micro Milk Processing Enterprises Processing Enterprises, Packaging, Labelling, Branding, Marketing and DPR Preparations & Financial Linkages for Micro Milk Processing Enterprises.
The organiser Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology stated that those who could participate at the event are Micro food Processing Entrepreneurs, self help groups and Cooperatives among others related to milk processing. The chief guest for the event is RS Sodhi, managing director, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Milk Marketing Federation known for its Amul brand.
