is all set to launch two of its new brands in India next month. The $140-million company will launch King Cobra strong beer brand, which will be brewed at the Mount Shivalik brewery in Rajasthan.
"The Cobra, a non-alcoholic beer, will soon hit grocery stores in the country," Karan F Bilimoria, chief executive, Cobra Beer. Zingaro, Becks and Sand Piper are the other alcohol-free beers currently available in India.
The Cobra Premium Lager, which was being imported into India since 2002, is being brewed in the country since January this year and is available in six cities.
Significantly, Cobra is also talking to two breweries for tying up manufacturing arrangements to address different geographical regions of the country. At the same time it is also open to considering acquiring capacities in the country apart from setting up a greenfield unit in Hyderabad.
The company is targeting sales of up to one million cases by the end of 2007 that will make it the largest in its category, he added.
