Uth Beverage Factory, a health beverages manufacturer, has recently launched India’s first Branched-Chain-Amino-Acids based sports drink, Xplode.

Xplode arose from the various customers who expressed their concern towards lack of a nutritional beverage for people with an active lifestyle including sports and fitness enthusiasts, gym goers and the like. UBF founder Samit Mehta said, “Xplode has established itself as a superior sports drink with its combination of simple and complex carbohydrates for sustained energy. In addition Xplode contains magnesium for ATP synthesis. The carbohydrate combination and the addition of magnesium sets Xplode apart from most sports drink brands.”

Although Xplode had been in markets of western India since 2007 and was the preferred sports drink at the Commonwealth Youth Games 2008, Pune, UBF has further improved it by adding BCAA. Samit Mehta further added, “UBF gives great emphasis to innovation and technology. The new Xplode has brought in a revolution in the science of hydration and energy with the addition of Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA). The essential BCAAs are of special importance for athletes because they are metabolised in the muscle, rather than in liver. BCAAs are the first ones used during periods of exercise and resistance training and need to be replenished from dietary sources as the body cannot make them. BCAA increases endurance and repairs muscle tissue.”

Some of the athletes, nutritionists, gym trainers and customers have shown encouraging interest in Xplode. The taste of Xplode has also been appreciated. Harvinder Singh Chawla, a fitness freak, expressed “The taste of Xplode is a definite edge compared to any drink. I give full marks to the research and development team of UBF for giving importance to the taste factor of the Indian consumer.”

Arohi Khamsera, a senior dietician and content manager from Evolve Clubs, said, “ Xplode has no caffeine and still gives you energy to perform and maintain active health.” Xplode fits into the current need of active people, athletes, health enthusiasts, sports persons, etc. The pricing at Rs 25 for 350 ml bottle makes it affordable to the youth and everyone who looks for a quality health product.
