Cornitos’ product awarded Diploma Certification at SIAL Innovation Awards

fiogf49gjkf0d Greendot Health Foods’ flagship brand Cornitos which recently launched the product ‘Refried Beans’ has been awarded Diploma Certification by the SIAL Innovation Awards 2016, at Shanghai, China. It is the largest food and beverage exhibition in Asia. Refried Beans which offers an authentic Mexican taste was selected from 353 products presented by 193 exhibitors at the 12th edition of the show. Expressing his gratitude on the occasion, Vikram Agarwal, director, Greendot Health Foods Limited-Cornitos, said, “It has been a constant endeavour to innovate with excellence and make premium quality products. The product has been launched in the Indian market to complement the Taco Dinner Kit category. ‘Just Heat and Eat’ Refried Beans is mashed and cooked red kidney beans (Rajma) using virgin olive oil. The product is low in spices, is perfect for filling tacos, burritos, quesadillas, paranthas or even as nachos bean dip. The product is a Mexican snack in international flavours catering to the Indian palate. These flavoured Tortilla Corn Chips popularly known as 'Nachos,' are made by the traditional Mexican Lime-treatment process, along with contract farming of special food grade non-GMO yellow corn. They are baked / cooked in corn oil to golden brown, making it crispier. It is available in 10 exotic flavours and part of healthy snacking. It is a 100% corn snack, gluten-free, zero-cholesterol, and zero-trans fats. The product is extensively distributed across pan-India. Complete range of products available in retail, e-retail and modern trade stores. Institutional sales are through airlines, horeca, multiplexes and cafes. It is exported to the US, Australia, China, Singapore, the UAE and South-East Asia. The seven-year-old Greendot Health Foods is part of Globe Capacitor Group of Companies. It is the first company to launch Nacho Crisps (Tortilla) in Indian branded snack food market. GHFL has fully automated, state-of-the-art food processing unit. Manufacturing facilities spread over 8,000 sq m at Roorkee, Haridwar district, Uttarakhand. GHFL has done extension of product range by introducing roasted nuts and taco shell packs in market. The company has also won the Best Food and Grocery Brand of the Year in Snack Category at the CMO Asia Excellence Awards held at Pan Pacific, Marina Square, Singapore. The brand was also conferred with a Certificate of Merit in Ready-to-Eat food category.
