HyperCITY ties up with UK chain Waitrose

ntered into an exclusive supply agreement with Waitrose, UK. Waitrose, the food shops of John Lewis Partnership, was voted the top supermarket chain in UK and has a reputation of offering distinctive, high quality foods that have been sourced responsibly.
Waitrose will provide HyperCITY over 300 products under the Waitrose label ranging from milk & soya milks, jams, preserves, honey and marmalades, soft drinks, mixers and water, breakfast foods, instant and ground coffee, fruit juices, teas, baking and desserts, vine fruits, dried fruits, snacking, desserts, cooking ingredients, condiments herbs, spices, oils and vinegar, pickles and olives, chutneys, sugar, cook-in sauces, bottled sauces, mustards, canned fruit, canned soup and packet soup, canned fish & vegetables, crisps and snacks, sweet biscuits, savory biscuits, nuts and snacks pasta, pasta sauces, rice, pet foods and UMI range of cosmetics and body care products.
The partnership would mean that Waitrose products will be available to shoppers in India for the first time, exclusively through HyperCITY.
Waitrose's successful export arm currently supplies Waitrose label products to supermarkets in 18 countries outside the UK, including countries in the Far East and the Middle East. The company has 174 shops in England and Wales and is opening shops in Scotland in June.
HyperCITY's chief executive, Andrew Levermore said, "We are pleased to have joined forces with one of the leading food retailers in Britain and the introduction of their products will give our customers access to high end food and groceries which were previously unavailable in India."
"Waitrose is delighted to have entered into this exciting partnership with HyperCITY, which will allow us to offer Waitrose own label products to customers in India for the first time," said Waitrose export manager, Chris Place.
