Bacardi Martini storms into flavoured spirits market

s market, Bacardi Martini India Limited has made a maiden effort to offer Bacardi Apple, the first Apple flavoured Rum.
The much revered fruit which is known for its nutritional value and flavour now enters the world of cocktail glasses across India. The apple addition to the flavours portfolio is supplemented by the Citrusy Bacardi Limón, according to Mahesh Madhavan, president and CEO, Bacardi Martini India.
The finest, juicy Fuji, Golden Delicious and Granny Smith apples are mixed with premium Rum.
With regards to packaging the much flavoured drink, the company has made efforts to have a distinctive apple peel icon and a bright green cap signaling the tart, tantalising taste within. The drink also promises low carbohydrate.
"The flavours category has been fast moving within the white spirits segment and the introduction of Bacardi Apple further strengthens our growing portfolio. Its enormous popularity across international markets showcases its strength of quality, making it one of the most appealing flavour introductions. Its mix ability also offers a variety of new tastes, including the all famous Bacardi Mojito served with a twist of apple flavour," said Madhavan.
Bacardi Apple's mix ability goes well with Sprite/7UP, soda or a twist of fresh lime. However, the adventurous can take a bite of the Apple with cocktails such as Apple Wild Cider, Apple Pie Shot Drink, Apple Fizz, the Golden Delicious Martini and the Apple & Tonic. For a drink that's like dessert in a glass, just try the Apple Cinna-tini, and the scrumptious Apple Caramel Martini.
Bacardi Apple will be available in the 750 ml & 60 ml size at a price range of Rs 450 - 600 per 750 ml bottle across markets.
