SIGEP meets the world lands in São Paulo

Following its debut in Chicago, SIGEP Meets the World arrives in São Paulo for the second stop of the international roadshow organised by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), created to promote the global vision of SIGEP World, the leading international trade show for Gelato, Pastry, Bakery, Coffee, Chocolate and Pizza, from ingredients to kitchen equipment.

In a context of strong global expansion, SIGEP World’s key sectors – gelato, pastry, bakery, coffee and pizza – see the recent implementation of the EU-Mercosur Agreement as a strategic turning point for strengthening trade relations between Italy and Brazil. The reduction of customs barriers will not only facilitate the entry of Italian products into Brazil and vice versa, but will also generate an immediate positive impact for Foodservice buyers. Local operators will have the opportunity to optimise import costs and establish direct commercial partnerships, accelerating growth and innovation in the sector in both countries.

The Brazilian stop is part of a strategic market for Made in Italy food products. According to data from the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade, Brazilian imports of Made in Italy food and beverages increased from 278 million dollars in 2022 to 410 million in 2025, marking a growth of 47.5%. In this context, Brazil confirms its position as the third main destination market for Italian exports in the sector within the Americas, behind only the United States and Canada.

The event is scheduled for May 27, at 2 pm at Feira Fispal Food Service, in the Pizza Pavilion – Island D130 + Island C120. An exclusive networking event reserved for industry professionals, bringing together the leading figures of the food & beverage sector in São Paulo.

Organised in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), SIGEP Meets the World – Chapter São Paulo will be an opportunity to discover SIGEP World 2027 and the leading international network for gelato, confectionery and chocolate, coffee, bakery and pizza. The event will focus on trends, connections and new business opportunities within a setting dedicated to industry professionals.
