A new US-based consumer study suggests Monteloeder’s Metabolaid a blend of lemon verbena and hibiscus may help individuals manage weight more effectively by improving both physical and emotional well-being.
Metabolaid, developed by Monteloeder under SUANNUTRA S.L., combines standardised extracts of Hibiscus sabdariffa and Lippia citrodora (lemon verbena). The botanical formulation is designed to regulate appetite, support metabolic function, and positively influence overall motivation a factor often overlooked in weight-management programs.
The consumer study included 112 adults who took 500 mg of Metabolaid daily for eight weeks and completed weekly self-assessments. Results showed a steady, sustained weight reduction of around 3%, with visible improvements starting as early as the first week. Participants also reported reduced bloating, increased energy, and a more consistent downward weight trend.
Notably, users experienced significant emotional and behavioural shifts. Four weeks into the program, most participants felt more motivated and energised, leading to better adherence to healthy routines. They reported fewer cravings, reduced emotional eating linked to stress or boredom, and a shift toward healthier food choices. Over 70% said their eating habits had genuinely improved.
The study also revealed a positive link between the supplement and daily activity levels. About two-thirds of participants felt more energised and, after a month, engaged in physical activity at least three times a week.
Backed by 10 preclinical and clinical studies involving over 450 volunteers, Metabolaid has been shown to influence metabolic pathways, support gut microbiome balance, and help maintain healthy GLP-1 levels a key hormone involved in appetite control.
Jonathan Jones, PhD, chief R&D officer at Monteloeder, notes that the consumer feedback underscores Metabolaid’s dual-action potential supporting physical progress while driving positive emotional engagement both essential for long-term weight management.
