Economists say there are no free lunches, but Cafe Pico, the international gourmet brand by Nilgai Foods, has proven that wrong. The eatery launched Club Pico, a unique, distinctive and pioneering App for all its Facebook followers.

Club Pico allows one to interact with other Pico lovers by letting them upload images of Pico food and photos of themselves with their friends just hanging out at any of the Pico outlets across the city, enjoying the food.

One can also comment on photos uploaded by others, like their images or share them on their Timeline/Wall to earn points.

Club Pico rewards Pico’s Facebook followers for each interaction or activity that they perform on Club Pico. So, if one likes, invites, friends, shares or comments, they will be rewarded with points on the App that can be redeemed for money at the outlets!

In his brief on the App, Abhay Jaiswal, chief executive officer, Nilgai Foods, said, “We at Pico, always strive for innovations and pioneering, be it in our cuisine, menu, packaging or even our outlets. By launching Club Pico we have set yet another landmark in the Indian food industry. To be part of the Pico family, all you have to do is become a Club Pico member on this Facebook Application and then get ready to enjoy exclusive benefits! Be it brownie points that convert to real money to buy delicious Pico food or when you need them most – free meals, these points are yours for the taking.”

“Members of Club Pico can participate simply by interacting with other members of the Club and on Pico’s official Facebook page Pico India. With every interaction, members of the club will earn points, which can be redeemed for monetary benefits. 10 points is equal to 1 INR. So for example, if one collects 500 points, he/she gets Rs. 50 worth of food/beverages for free,” he added further.

This is how Club Pico works:

 To become a member of Club Pico (http://www.facebook.com/PicoIndia), one has to like the page and enter the Club

 After liking the page, start interacting with us and other Pico lovers (upload pictures, like, comment or share posts) to collect reward points

 Invite your friends to share the App. Earn even more reward points

 You can earn the precious points not only at Club Pico (our Facebook application), but also at Pico India (our Facebook page)

 Redeem the points earned for monetary benefits at Pico outlets and relish some delectable and appetising international gourmet cuisines from across the world

Pico offers such items as salads, sandwiches, pastas, soups, mains, smoothies, desserts, etc. Apart from a plethora of international gourmet cuisines, Pico also offers a curated international menu and sells gourmet packaged foods of the highest quality.

Pico’s kitchen is headed by Gordon Ramsey's protégé Nicole Gonsalves Pereira, a corporate chef who has translated Pico into one of the best-known cuisine brands in the market.

After having studied and worked in India, Pereira went on to specialise in French cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu in London. At Pico, she is not just the head chef but also the lead innovator, constantly researching ideas to ensure that she finds and creates the right recipes to cook international food using local produce.

In Mumbai, Cafe Pico currently has two outlets, at Phoenix Market City, Kurla and Le Mill, Masjid Bunder. Apart from these, the chain operates four Pico Express outlets at Nirlon Knowledge Park, Goregaon; Bandra; Lokhandwala, Andheri and Lower Parel. More outlets will be launched shortly.
