Vikram Mills, a legacy leader in the premium wheat flour manufacturing sector, has announced a significant strategic expansion with the commissioning of a new 100-tonnes-per-day “rice to rice” processing plant. Located at the company’s headquarters in the Lawrence Road Industrial area, this move marks a major step in the firm’s transformation into a multi-commodity agro-products powerhouse.

The new facility is designed to bolster the company’s presence in the National Capital Region (NCR) by integrating its traditional "flour muscle" with modern rice processing capabilities. By housing the plant at its Delhi headquarters, Vikram Mills aims to streamline logistics and provide a one-stop solution for B2B partners, FMCG retailers, and institutional buyers who can now source both high-quality wheat products and premium rice from a single, trusted supplier.

Speaking on the launch, Shubham Garg, Director of Vikram Roller Flour Mills Limited, stated: "The addition of the 100-tonne rice-to-rice plant at our Delhi headquarters is an important step for us. It allows us to extend our established wheat processing capabilities into rice while strengthening supply and logistics across NCR. Our focus remains on building capacity in line with long-term demand."

This expansion follows the company’s successful operational milestone last year—the commissioning of a 100-tonnes-per-day “paddy to rice” plant in Kiloi, Rohtak. The Rohtak unit provided the groundwork for large-scale grading and procurement, expertise which has now been leveraged to optimise the new Delhi facility.

The strategic consolidation of wheat and rice operations is expected to significantly enhance supply chain efficiency, ensuring an uninterrupted flow of essential staples across the capital. As consumer preferences shift toward sourcing multiple staples from reliable partners, Vikram Mills plans to further strengthen its distribution network to serve both the growing retail market and the food service industry. With both the Rohtak and Delhi plants now operational, the company is well-positioned to meet the rising domestic demand for high-quality food staples.
